Center for Humanistic Education
The Center for Humanistic Education (CHE) was founded in 1995. CHE has broken new ground in its approach to Holocaust education and its implications.
The Holocaust is studied as a critical turning point in History of human and societal nature, thus having universal meanings across time and place.
We believe that our social and educational approach –
• Leads towards understanding the importance of democratic values;
• Provides tools for moral judgment and civic responsibility;
• Combats the indifference to the suffering of others or the infringement of human rights that endangers the existence of society at all times.
Our Educational Outlook
Our fundamental outlook is that dealing with the subject of the Holocaust leads to an understanding of the importance of humanistic and democratic values, and instills tools for moral judgment and civic responsibility.
